| China’s Economy Growing Steadily in a Sustained Manner: 2005 |

According to the promulgated by the State Statistic Bureau of China on 28 Feb. 2006, China’s GDP as of 2005 reached RMB 18232.1Billion, increasing 9.9% relative to last year and sustained the growth rate around 10% as the third consecutive year. The incremental value of the first, second and third industry accounts for 12.4%, 47.3% and 40.3% of the total GDP respectively.
The consumer price index has increased 1.8% compared to last year, ruling out the prospective deflation. The import and export turnover has amounted to USD 1422.1 billion throughout the year, increasing 23.2% relative to last year. 44001 FDI projects have been approved during the year, increasing 0.8% while the utilized FDI amounted to USD 60.3 billion, decreasing 0.5%.
The overseas investment (non-financial) increased by 25.8%, amounting to USD 6900 million. Foreign contracting turnover increased by 24.6%, amounting to USD 21.8 billion. The foreign labor cooperation turnover reached USD 4800 million with an increment of 27.5%.
