Chinese Hi-tech Fair Finnish branch were held in Helsinki on June 9-10, 2008. The event was sponsored by Tekes in cooperation with Tehnopolis Plc and China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), organized by Greater Helsinki Promotion (GHP) and Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. The China Hi-tech delegation brought 70 participants from different Chinese companies and organizations – including private companies, senior level public officials, research institutions and universities. Bilateral one-on-one meetings were also held for Finnish and Chinese companies in the fields of the ICT, Health & Bio, Investment, Industrial Manufacturing & Wholesale, Energy, and Environment & Clean Tech. A memorandum of enhancing the corporation between Greater Helsinki Promotion (GHP) and CHTF was signed during the event.
In order to further promote the commercialization and industrialization of research findings, to enhance international cooperation and exchanges in science & technology, and to help domestic enterprises grasp global trends of science & technology and understand investment policies of different countries, CHTF, after its success of several branches in China, has been extending this effective negotiation approach worldwide with the launch of oversea branch for hi-tech projects negotiation of CHTF since 2005, and two CHTF branches were successfully held in Austria in 2005 and Spain in 2007 respectively.
Some Finnish companies had visited the 6th, 8th and 9th CHTF in Shenzhen China, the China Hi-tech Fair Finnish branch further promoted the co-operations between Finnish and Chinese Companies in Hi-tech fields.
