Welcome to the Expo Central China 2009.

Venue: Hefei, Anhui Province
Promoting the development of central China is a critical decision of Chinese Government based on all-round consideration of the modernization of the country, and also an important part of China’s development strategy in the new stage; hence it has profound operational and historic significances for eastern and western areas of China to establish a relationship featured mutual interaction and supplement.
The six provinces in central China, which includes Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hunan and Hubei, with an area of some 1.03 million km2, have unique competitiveness. With 30-years of development since the opening-up, this area has embodied favorable developing conditions, mainly in three aspects:
Firstly, it has a regional advantage, i.e. a hub to connect other areas, and has established a powerful traffic network by sea, land and air, which lay the foundation for it becoming a large, orderly logistics center of China.
Secondly, the central area has a sound industrial and a satisfying scientific and education foundation. It almost has all kinds of industries, possible to be a main base for transferred industries and take gradient transfer of processing trades from coastal cities.
Thirdly, the central area possesses abundant natural, historical and cultural resources, thus, its tour market has huge potential, which may bring more people and hence business opportunities.
The aim of the ECC is to exert advantages of the central area to create a platform for the central area’s opening-up and international communication and cooperation.
The 4th ECC will advocate independent innovation, energy conservation and environmental protection, accelerate the transformation of trade growth mode, promote the development of modern service industry and upgrade the utilization of foreign capital in terms of quality and level.
