The Chinese forestry delegation headed by Mr. Yang Jiping, Deputy
Administrator of the State Forestry Administration, visited Finland and chaired the 15th session of the Sino-Finnish working group for forestry held in Helsinki on August 20th, 2008. The Chairperson of the Working Group from Finland was Dr. Aarne Reunala, Director General of the Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the current developments of forestry in both countries and the implementation of the projects listed in the Protocol for the years 2007 and 2008, reached an agreement on five cooperation projects that would be carried out during the years 2009 and 2010, and signed the protocol for the 15th session meeting.
Mr. Jouni Lind, State Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry met the Chinese delegation and attended the signing ceremony.
